The PJH 8th Grade White team came away with a 28-0 win. Offensively for the Cats they were led by Damontrey Ainesworth with two touchdowns, Nickolas Mitchell with one touchdown, and Eugene Mapps with two 2-point conversions. They were able to find running room all night long thanks in part to the offensive line that was led by Lucas Grossnickle and Gunner Vest. Defensively, for the Cats, Nickolas Mitchell had a fumble recovery for a touchdown and Errin Davis, Kaleb Long, Zachary De La Garza, and Houston Garrett Wilson had outstanding play for the Wildcat defense, making multiple tackles all night long. The Wildcats will look to go 3-0 in district play next week when they host the Pleasant Grove Hawks at Wildcat Stadium.
The Paris 8th Grade Blue team came away with a 20-0 victory. The Wildcats were led by great offensive line play from Jonathon Neal, Demetric Glover, Dezmon Tinajero, Zaccheus Ellis, and Keshauwn Ellis. They opened up holes all night long, allowing Donovan Williams to rush for two touchdowns and a 2-point conversion, and Parker Chapman to rush for a touchdown. On the defensive side of the ball, Demetric Glover had a blocked punt and fumble recovery, while Michael Godwin and Keshauwn Ellis each had two sacks. The Wildcats are now 2-0 in district play and look to go 3-0 next week against the Pleasant Grove Hawks.
The Paris Jr. High 7th Grade White team Wildcats were also able to come away with a 20-0 victory, making the Wildcats 2-0 in district play. Offensively, for the Cats they were led by Quintarrius Dillard, Brian Wilson, and Anqurrus Harris, who combined for three touchdowns and a 2-point conversion. The offensive line fought hard all night long to opening up holes for them to run through. They were led by Darius Ellis, Samiyija Brown, and Nicholas Gentry. On the defensive side of the ball, the Wildcats were led by strong play from Jackson Rogers, who had two sacks and an interception. Blaine Hill also had multiple tackles for the Cats. Next week, they face the Hawks of Pleasant Grove and will look to improve to 3-0 in district.
The PJH 7th Grade Blue team had a good game, but came up short, losing 30-0. The Wildcats were led offensively by Tycorius Garvin and Jalen Nelson who had multiple big runs. The offensive line fought hard all night long and were led by Asher Andoe and Patrick Baird. Defensively for the Cats, Elijah Ellis and Devin Dixon had multiple tackles for losses, while Vershaud Richardson had a sack. The Wildcats will host Pleasant Grove next week at Wildcat Stadium.
