Paris to Play in Allen’s New Stadium in First Playoff Game

Although the opponent has not been determined, the venue has been set for Paris High’s first playoff game. The Wildcats will play the winner of Kaufman and Crandall on Saturday, November 17th in Allen, Texas.

The game will be played at the new $60 million stadium that opened this year for the Eagles. The stadium seats 18,000 people, has a 75 foot by 45 foot HD Scoreboard, and has been the topic of discussion among local and national media. Construction for the stadium began in 2009 and opened in August of this year. The stadium is the fifth largest High School stadium in Texas.

Coach Barry Bowman and the Wildcats are coming off an impressive victory against cross town rival North Lamar. Paris is 4-0 in District and can claim the District title with a win over Liberty Eylau on Friday night. Then, the Wildcats will begin their march through the playoffs. A march that will start in one of the most luxurious stadiums in Texas.
