Dense Fog Advisory conditions reduce visibility drastically while driving — using your low-beam headlights and driving at a slower speed can help improve safety.
The National Weather Service as issued a Dense Fog Advisory for Lamar County, effective until 10am.
This will limit the visibility as you are driving, and meteorologists predict visibilities of less than a quarter of a mile are to be expected.
The fog is a result of our cool temperatures and moist atmosphere, combined with light east winds.
Be very cautious while driving the kids to school or on your way to work this morning. Use your low beam headlights and reduce your speed.
