Circus performance to benefit Boys and Girls Club
“This is our third year to be the sponsoring agency for the Carson and Barnes Circus,” said Henry Shaw, executive director of the Boys and Girls Club. “Proceeds from the event go to support our club house operations and help us keep memberships affordable to anyone that wants to join the club.”
Carson and Barnes will hold shows at 4:30 and 7:30 p.m. Friday and 2 and 5 p.m. Saturday at the fairgrounds. Tickets are $12 for adults and $6 for children ages 2 to 11. Proceeds benefit the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Red River Valley.
Tickets are available at David’s Meat Market, Paris Coffee, Ballard Insurance and Rent-A-Center on Lamar Avenue. Or they can be purchased online at www.bigtopshow.com.
“Membership to the Boys and Girls Club costs only $15 per year, and events like the circus make sure we can continue to keep the membership costs for our kids at the same level,” Shaw said.
