Paris LadyCats stay undefeated in District 13-3A Play

phighlogo1The Paris Ladycat Varsity team crushed the tenacious Atlanta Lady Rabbits team on Friday, with the final score 72-42.  Mae Council led the way at the point guard position, and was a floor general creating opportunities for others on the court.  Council garnered seven points, four rebounds, four assists and six steals.  One of our most consistent players, Jazz Pipkins took home a birthday present tonight by scoring in the double digits.  Her well rounded game included 21 points, seven rebounds and five steals.

Luey Bronner, our leading scorer over the season, dropped 13 points and paved the way in our defensive backcourt pressure with six steals.  The crème de la crème of the game was Nish Robins, who not only held Atlanta’s best player to 12 points, but had a double-double with 17 points and 16 rebounds to provide a spark to the Ladycat team throughout the evening.  This was a great sign that Robins has fully recovered from her 2012-13 season-ending injury.

Other noteworthy performers were Shay Morgan with six points, four rebounds and two steals, and Paige Dixon who had five points, three rebounds and two steals.
