Pantherettes remain undefeated in District Play

The North Lamar Pantherettes remained undefeated in District 13-3A play Friday night with a 10-2 victory over the visiting Pittsburg Lady Pirates. North Lamar Freshman Maddision Morrison got the start on the mound for the Pantherttes. Morrison went 4.2 innings and only gave up three hits while striking out two. She only allowed one run to cross the plate as well.

Lauren Coursey came in and finished off the game on the mound. Course gave up two hits and gave up one run as well while striking out three batters. The Pantherettes offense was consistent as they scored at least one run in all six innings they played. The big blow came in the sixth as North Lamar pushed four runs across the plate.

Erin Scholl hit a line-drive home run over the left field wall in the fifth inning. Coursey added a long ball of her own in the sixth, which scored Tann Huie on the play as well.

Coursey finished the night 1-1 at the plate with four RBI. Delaney England also had a RBI. Balee Brown and Scholl also had a RBI each for North Lamar.

In District play so far this season, North Lamar has outscored their opponents 39-5.
