Pantherettes Open Up District Play with Dominating Win over Paris High

NL LOGOThe North Lamar Pantherettes took an early 1-0 lead over Paris High after Lauren Coursey hit a home run. It was all the offense Sarah Penrose would need as she pitched brilliantly through three innings. North Lamar added five more runs in the second inning which was highlighted by Delaney England‘s bases clearing double.

After a scoreless third inning, the Pantherettes scored 15 in the fourth en route to a 21-0 win. North Lamar sent 20 batters to the plate during the inning. Delaney had three hits and four RBI for the Pantherettes. Coursey was 2-4 with three RBI. Penrose, Tanna Huie and Erin Scholl all had two RBI. Bailey Jones and Balee Nickerson both had one RBI.

With the win, North Lamar is now 1-0 in Distrcit and they will host Pleasant Grove on Tuesday at 6:00 p.m.
