North Lamar Pantherettes Cruise to Victory in First Game of Season

NL LOGOSarah Penrose pitched seven strong innings while only allowing two earned runs on six hits for the North Lamar Pantherettes as they opened up their season with a 10-2 victory over Community Friday night.

Community scored one run in the first and another in the second and that’s all Penrose allowed. North Lamar, however, jumped on Community early as they scored three in the first and four in the second.

Balee Brown led the way for North Lamar with three RBI each. North Lamar will play their first home game of the season on Tuesday night against Sulphur Springs. The Varsity will play at 4:30.
