North Lamar Panthers are District Champs

It took a long time but the North Lamar Panthers’ drought is over. Tuesday night, after claiming a 60-51 victory over over Pleasant Grove, North Lamar won the District 13-3A title.

“I’m proud of what this means for the community and the North Lamar school district,” Coach Homer Garner said after the game. “It felt like people were excited about basketball at North Lamar.”

North Lamar will play Rains early next week. The time and location have yet to be determined.

North Lamar scorers: Versache Buchanan – 22; Hunter Sartor – 15; Levi Porter – 8; Tyler Anthony – 7; Samaki Walker – 4; Devin McDonald – 4.
