Coming off a disappointing loss to the Pleasant Grove Hawks, the North Lamar Panthers were able to put that behind them as they defeated the Pittsburg Pirates 50-27 on Tuesday night.

North Lamar used big first and third quarters en route to the victory. Defensively the Panthers were solid as they only allowed the Pirates to score double figures in one quarter and keeping them to one point in the final period. Eighteen of the 40 rebounds North Lamar secured were on the offensive glass. Hunter Sartor grabbed six of them while Kyle Dunman grabbed five.

With the win, the Panthers remain tied with the Paris Wildcats for first place in District 13-3A.
