North Lamar Panthers improve to 2-0 in District action

The Panthers improved to 2-0 in District 13-3A with their 60-49 win over Liberty Eylau. The game was won at the free throw line, though. North Lamar had a 14 point lead heading into the fourth quarter at 43-29. LE went on a 16-5 run to open the quarter. With a three point lead, Levi Porter and Samaki Walker hit some huge free throws down the stretch as North Lamar ended the game on a 12-4 run.

Hunter Sartor was nearly perfect on the night as he made 10 of his 11 shots attempts for 21 points. Hunter aslo had 14 rebounds, three steals and two blocked shots. Levi Porter had 15 points for North Lamar and Tyler Anthony grabbed 10 rebounds.

The win puts North Lamar tied for first place in the district. They will travel to Atlanta on Friday night to continue District 13-3A play.
