North Lamar 8th Grade Competes in Van Alstyne Tournament

The North Lamar 8th Grade Boys Finished third in Tournament.

The North Lamar 8th Grade Basketball Team traveled to Van Alstyne on Saturday, winning two games and dropping one.

NL LOGOIn the first game the Panthers cruised to a 44-15 win over Whitewright.  T.K. Hill, Seybian Holt and Austin Exum combined for 30 points from their guard positions to lead the Panthers.  Tyler Gifford had a strong game scoring four and rebounding well.

In the second game the Panthers jumped out to a 10 point lead but squandered it in the second half, after shooting 7 for 22 from the line in that half.  Tyler Hill scored 19 to lead North Lamar and Exum added eight as the Panthers lost 44-40.

The final game came down to one shot as Seybian Holt scored his only bucket of the game to give the Panthers the lead they would not give up as as the Panthers pulled out a 24-23 win vs. Pottsboro.  Once again Tyler Hill led North Lamar in scoring with 14 points and Austin Exum scored four.

The Panthers play vs. PG on the road on Thursday.
