North Lamar 7th Boys Win Val Alstyne Tournament

NL LOGOThe 7th grade boys’ basketball team won the Van Alstyne tournament this past weekend. They defeated Whitewright and Gunter to win pool B. They then beat Van Alstyne by a score of 37-29 in the championship game. Leading scorers were Jay Walters with 15, Latavian Garmon with 12, Cody Anthony  with six, Kevin Woods with two, Rino Moore also with two and Palmer Campbell with two.  Hunter Jones, Will Rast, Scott Bishop, Matt Meredith, Alec Asay, and Blake Edwards all contributed with tough defense and rebounding. This makes the Panthers 7-1 on the season.

Their next game will be Thursday night at Pleasant Grove.
