Prairiland junior high boys take 2nd place in Tournament

Prairiland Patriot LogoThe 7th grade Prairiland Junior High boys basketball team won 2nd place in their own tournament this past Saturday. In the first game, the Patriots defeated the Cooper bulldogs 24-21. Allen Elliot and Rayce Wilkerson led the team with five points each. Parker May and Seth Smith had four points each. In the Championship game, the Patriots came up a little short with a 31-27 loss to Chisum. Carson Bridges led the Patriots with 11 points while Rayce Wilkerson had six. The Patriots played a much improved defensive game. Parker May, Jordan Bridges, Daylan Whitley, and Garrett Fletcher showed their defensive toughness in the game. The Patriots travel to Mt. Vernon this Thursday, Jan.16. All four teams will play starting at 4:30.
