Paris Junior High Girls Tournament Results

The Paris Junior High Girls hosted their 2nd Annual Tournament on Dec 14, 2013.

7th Grade
Paris 7th grade finished the tournament in second place.
They defeated Whitewright, 36 – 20 to advance to the championship game.  Against Whitewright, Kiaunshay Jackson scored 16 points, followed by Taylor Looney with eight. Skyla Mackey had four, Tamya McCray four, while Ja’Cayla Hildreth and Amil Mitchell each had two.
Mt. Vernon defeated Paris in the championship game, 41-12.  Kiaushay Jackson continued to lead in scoring for the Ladycats with seven points, followed by A. Mitchell, who had three. T. McCray finished with two points.  S. Mackey and T. Looney helped with numerious assist.
North Lamar finished third defeating Whitewright 36-10.
Prairiland finished fifth defeating Pottsboro 25-6.
 
8th Grade
Paris 8th grade finished in fourth place.The Ladycats played their first match against Pottsboro in which the Ladycats came up short. The final score Paris 20 Pottsboro 41. N. Harris led the team with ten points, followed by S. Sanders who had four points. B. Moore finished with three points, A. Muse had two points, and Z. Dangerfield finished with one point.

In the second game of the tournament the Ladycats matched up against North Lamar. The Ladycats came out with a slow start, but picked it up in the second half. The ladycats fought extremely hard to come back, but still came up short with a final score Paris 34 NL 42. Ladycats were led by N. Harris and her 18 points. Z. Dangerfield finished with ten points, I. Patt had four points, and S. Sanders chipped in two points.
