The Prairiland Junior High Lady Pats traveled to Mt. Vernon this past weekend to compete in a volleyball tournament.
The seventh grade team placed second. The leading servers were Alexis Williams, Keagan Maroney and Kayla Spray. Key defensive players were Kayla Spray and Hannah Brown, while Keagan Maroney shined on the offense. She had five kills for the tournament. Coach Dickinson was very pleased with their progress throughout the tournament and is looking forward to a successful season.
The eighth grade placed third. Leading servers were Cameron Fernandez, Emalee Freelen and Stephi Fontenot. Leading the offense were Erin Butler and Emalee Freelen. Key defensive players were MyKaela Gilbert and Stephi Fontenot. Alyssa Harris was the best all around player for the tournament. Coach Blevins said the team looked a lot better overall, but there is still a lot of work to be done.
