North Lamar’s New Math

NL LOGOThe North Lamar Pantherettes figured out on Friday that 8 + 0 = 21. North Lamar opened up district play against crosstown rival Paris High and only needed three innings to handle the Lady Wildcats. North Lamar scored 21 runs on 8 hits while Paris scored no runs and got no hits. The Pantherettes scored 15 runs in the bottom of the first and 6 more in the bottom of the second inning. The game was over after Paris failed to score in the third inning due to the 20 run rule.

Delaney England pitched two innings for North Lamar and struck out six batters. Sarah Penrose pitched one inning and struck out two.

England and Haley Hostetler both had two hits for North Lamar. Hostetler had 3 RBI also. Tanna Huie and Balee Brown both had 2 RBI for the Pantherettes. Next up for North Lamar is Pleasant Grove on Monday night in Texarkana.
