Paris Junior High 8th Grade Boys Finish 2nd in District Tournament

The PJH 8th grade competed in the district basketball tournament this weekend. The Wildcats went into the tournament ranked 5th of 6 teams.
Round 1- Paris defeated North Lamar 42-34. Jalon Pipkins led the Wildcats with 17 points, and Cameron Washington chipped in with 8 points.
Round 2- Paris defeated LE 53- 41. Xtavious Young led the team with 23 points. Jalon Pipkins had 14, and and Cameron Washington added 8. The Wildcats played a lights out second quarter outscoring LE 23 to 3.
Championship Round- Paris lost to Pleasant Grove 32-51. Xtavious Young led scoring with 12 points, and Jalon Pipkins had 8 points.
The Wildcats finish their season district runner up with a second place finish at the tournament.
