The Stone Boys Basketball 8th grade A team lost a close game to Liberty-Eylau on Thursday night 45-43.
The Panthers led through three quarters by eight points but the Leopards outscored North Lamar by ten in the fourth quarter to claim a victory.
Menderiz Grey led the scoring charge with 17 points, with13 of those coming in the first half. Jake Stewart added ten points for the Panthers. Maverick Priest hit another 3 pointer and scored seven. Ty Waggoner scored four points and Javon Franklin, Sam Cowling and Tyler Biard all scored two for North Lamar. The Panthers record stands at 6-6 on the season. North Lamar will travel to Atlanta next Thursday.
