The North Lamar 8th Grade Boys A Team won a close contest with Pittsburgh on Thursday, pulling out a 37-32 home victory.
Menderiz Grey had another strong game for NL, scoring 19 points including two 3 pointers. Sam Cowling scored 5 points with a three, Jake Stewart notched 4 points, and John Folse hit a 3. Ty Waggoner, Maverick Priest, Dakota Grissom and Javon Franklin also scored for the Panthers. Stewart, Franklin and Cowling all made big free throws in the fourth quarter to seal the Panthers win.
The 8th Grade Boys B team defeated Pittsburg 34 – 9 on Thursday night.
