PARIS – It didn’t take long for the North Lamar Pantherettes to take control of their game against cross-town rival Paris High on Monday night. North Lamar jumped out to an early 8 – 0 lead as they cruised to a 70 – 36 win over Paris High.

From the beginning of the game, the North Lamar varsity squad played with an intensity that couldn’t be matched by Paris. The Pantherettes held an 18 – 5 lead after the first period and would stretch it to 33 – 11 at the halftime break.

The LadyCats could only manage to put together a few streaks of more than one basket before the Pantherettes would stop it and go on a run of their own. After three quarters in the Wildcat gymnasium, the visiting North Lamar squad held a commanding 48 – 26 lead.
