Paris ninth grade football team runs record to 4-0 with 41-0 victory over Melissa

OFFENSIVE STANDOUTS: Dren Rollerson rushed for touchdowns of 25 and 40 yards, caught a 25-yard touchdown pass, and ran for a two-point conversion; Jamar Sanders (threw a 25-yard touchdown pass and ran for a 25-yard touchdown and a two-point conversion; Levi Looney ran for a 6-yard touchdown. Offensive Line (Jordan Embry, Jason Jensen, Tyler Sanders, Dylan Jackson, Roberto Luna, Russell Rose, Kevin Mickens, D.J. GAME SUMMARY:

Paris opened the scoring when Jamar Sanders hooked up with Dren Rollerson for a 10-yard touchdown pass for a 6-0 lead.

On Paris’ ensuing possession, Rollerson scored on a 25-yard run, increasing the lead to 12-0.

In the second quarter, Treavon Sims scored for Paris on a 55-yard punt return. Rollerson’s run for the 2-point conversion made it 20-0.

Just before the half, Sanders scored on a 25-yard option keeper and followed with a two-point conversion run to extend Paris’ lead to 28-0.

On the opening play of the third quarter, Rollerson scored on a 40-yard run, and the point-after kick by Alfredo Medina made it 35-0.

Paris regained possession on a fumble forced by Clint Franklin and recovered by Ty Gray. Levi Looney closed out the scoring with a 6-yard run for a 41-0 Paris lead that stood up as the final score.

Paris’ ninth grade is now 4-0 on the season. The next opponenb is Liberty-Eylau next week.
