Man arrested after allegedly stabbing woman
An argument between a man and woman turned violent on Friday evening, resulting in the stabbing of the woman and the arrest of a 54-year-old Paris man allegedly responsible for the incident.
Paris police officers received the call reporting the stabbing just after 6 p.m. on Friday. Officers arrived to the scene at 603 Booker T. Washington Homes, where they found 57-year-old Greta Fisher with a stab wound, according to Paris Police Chief Bob Hundley.
“The victim told officers she had been involved in an argument with a Bobby Richards when he stabbed her,” Chief Hundley said in a press release on Monday. “The actual location of the incident was across the street.”
Fisher was transported to the hospital by Paris EMS for treatment of her wound.
Officers then located Bobby Charles Richards and placed him under arrest, charging him with felony aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, Hundley said.
