Police respond to aggravated robbery
Just after 1 p.m. on Monday, the Paris Police Department responded to the call of an aggravated robbery, where it was reported that two men knocked a man unconscious and stole items from his vehicle after asking the victim for a cigarette, Paris PD spokesman Curtis Garrett said on Monday.
The robbery occurred in the 2200 block of W. Campbell Street.
The victim, who is 45 years old, told officers that he was flagged down by two white males and asked for a cigarette and that upon stopping, one of the suspects knocked him unconscious.
When he awoke he found that his laptop computer and a money bag had been take from the vehicle.
“The suspects were described as being in their mid-twenties,” Officer Garrett said. “One is slender built and
the second one is stocky built.”
