Drugs land Paris man in jail for third time in a month
A 27-year-old Paris man is in the Lamar County Jail for the third time in less than a month after Paris detectives raided his residence and found methamphetamine, along with digital scales and other drug paraphernalia.
Paris Police Department spokesman Curtis Garrett said authorities also initiated proceedings to revoke probation for Dawson on charges of unauthorized use of a vehicle and theft of property.
Also arrested in the raid on Friday was Tabby Lea Shipper, 29, of the same address, when she was found to be in possession of prescription pills not prescribed for her. She posted $2,000 bond on a charge of possession of a dangerous drug and was released from jail Saturday afternoon.
Dawson was confined in the Lamar County Jaqil on March 10 on charges of possession of CS PG 1 < 1G ($7,500 bond); unlawfully carrying a weapon ($2,000 bond); failing to maintain financial responsibility; and possession of drug paraphernalia. He posted bond about three hours later and was released.
Dawson was jailed on March 26 on charges of possession of CS PG 1 < 1G ($3,500 bond); and two charges of unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon ($10,000 bond on each charge). He was released on bond about 14 hours later.
