Woman in possession of drugs arrested after falling asleep behind the wheel of a parked vehicle with a child inside
Just after 7 p.m. on Friday, the Paris Police Department responded to a call advising that a person was passed out behind the steering wheel of a vehicle with a child inside in the 1400 block of NW 19th Street, according to police spokesman, Curtis Garrett.
Officers located and arrested 26-year-old Lindsay Jeanine Kelley, of Deport. During the investigation, Kelley was found to be in possession of marijuana and two types of pills that she did not have a prescription for.
She was charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and endangerment to a child. She was then transferred to the Lamar County Jail.
