Update: Investigation into Sunday shooting continues; police say victim refuses to give information about shooter

Paris PD spokesman Officer Curtis Garrett said Sunday’s shooting victim is refusing to cooperate with detectives.

“The investigation is certainly ongoing,” Garrett said.  “But the victim has still refused to give any information to police pertaining to the shooter.”

The shooting was reported to police at 7:18 p.m. Sunday at the Spanish Oaks Apartment Complex on Clarksville Street, according to police records.

The victim was shot on the eastern side of the complex, but no witness to the shooting has come forth.

Police identified the victim as 29-year-old Jajuan Rosheen Minter, who was transported by helicopter to a Dallas-area hospital. He was later transferred to another hospital for more advanced treatment.

As police investigate this case, the department encourages any leads or information pertaining to the shooting to be called into the police department at 903.784.6688.
