Police respond to 76 calls for service on Tuesday; Paris PD Press Release - January 30
Of the 76 calls for service that Paris Police responded to, 2 burglary of vehicles and 2 burglary of automobiles were reported. 4 persons were arrested for class c misdemeanor warrants, 3 were arrested on misdemeanor theft warrants, 1 was arrested for evading arrest and misdemeanor theft, and 1 was arrested for a felony motion to revoke probation warrant.
On January 29, 2013, Officers responded to the 200 block of SW 4th St where it was reported that an unknown person or persons had fired numerous bullets into a residence. Officers located numerous bullet holes on the front of the residence and followed their trajectory throughout the inside of the residence. The incident is under investigation. There were no injuries reported.
While investigating a burglary of a motor vehicle, Officers observed a white male in the area carrying a trash bag. When the male saw the officers, he immediately turned around and started running away. Officers made contact with the male and the male admitted to taking property from a near by business. The property was inside the trash bag. The male then fled from officers and was apprehended a short distance later. The 35 year old Paris man was arrested for misdemeanor theft and evading arrest.
