Reno Police involved in vehicle pursuit; 2-year-old passenger in fleeing car

The Reno Police Department was involved in a high-speed vehicle pursuit on Sunday, according to Reno Police Chief Matt Birch.

IMG_0078_thumb_thumbOn January 27th, while patrolling the 6600 block of Pine Mill Road, Reno Police observed a vehicle traveling east on Pine Mill with an expired registration and inspection sticker.  Because of these violations, the officer attempted to perform a traffic stop on the vehicle.

As the officer turned around on the vehicle, the vehicle sped away south on Anderson Road; prompting a police pursuit.  The vehicle continued to evade the officer by turning west onto Inwood Street at a very high rate of speed. The chase then continued onto Harvard Street and then onto Knollwood Street, which is a dead end road.

Arrested was Latharian Davon Huff, 21 years old, of Brookston.  He was charged with Felony Evading Arrest, Endangering a Child, Possession of Marijuana less than 2 ounces, and driving while license invalid.  He was taken to Lamar County Jail where he was booked in.
