PJC employees mark years of service

PJC logoLast week Paris Junior College faculty and staff celebrated their years of service with the presentation of service pins. Two retiring instructors were also honored later in the day.

Ten-year employees included: Tony Faulkner, Randy Johnson and Paul Chappell with Maintenance, Testing Center clerk Peggy Frierson, nursing instructor Stephanie Parker, economics instructor Jeffrey Tarrant, radiology technology instructor/coordinator Karen Powers, golf coach David Johnson, science instructor Jack Brown, Spanish instructor Mayra Cummings, math instructor Mallie Hood, drama instructor Alex Peevy, and economics instructor Anthony Sawyer.

Receiving pins for 15 years of service were financial aid coordinator Patty Allison, health occupations secretary Judy Frazier, math instructor Jeff Norris, and communications & fine arts dean Dr. Ken Haley.

Those receiving 20-year pins: human resources coordinator Peggy Callaway, biology instructor Jason Taylor, psychology instructor Doris Helm, library services clerk Susan Ingram, PJC – Greenville Center secretary Deanna Hutchinson, health occupations director Marcia Putnam, and post office clerk Ricky Woods.

Marking 25 years of service were athletics secretary Stephanie Booker, institutional research director Beverly Matthews, and jewelry technology instructors Tony Underwood and Shannon Calloway.

Thirty-year honors went to POISE coordinator Mary Mims, office of the president executive secretary Pam Bennett and English instructor Diann Mason.

Celebrating 35 years of service were director of counseling Barbara Thomas and registrar Rita Tapp.

Later that afternoon, jewelry instructor Harrell Harrison and biology instructor Del Oyler were honored at a retirement reception with cake, punch, plaques of recognition and friends, family and coworkers.
