Bri Calabria's effort not enough to carry Lady Patriots past Chisum, 4-2
Bri Calabria did her best to change the outcome, but Bri couldn’t pilot Lady Patriots past Chisum as Lady Patriots lost 4-2 in seven innings on Tuesday.
Chisum couldn’t get anything going as long as Bri was pitching. Bri held Chisum hitless over 1 1/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out one.
Burdine got it done in the circle on the way to a win. She allowed two runs over seven innings. She struck out four, walked one and surrendered four hits.
Madi Gray took the loss for Lady Patriots. She lasted just 5 2/3 innings, walked two, struck out none, and allowed four runs.
The top of the second saw Chisum take an early lead, 2-0. Tisdell got things going for Chisum with a single. An error then moved Tisdell from first to third. Guess singled, plating Tisdell and Floyd.
Chisum didn’t relinquish the lead after scoring two runs in the fifth inning when it scored on a two-run home run by Fields.
