Prairiland junior high girls results against Cooper
7A lost their game 22-20. Missed opportunities were the ultimate downfall for the Lady Pats. Skyler Kelly led the offensive by scoring eight points. Kayla Spray, Hannah Brown, Payton Eppler, Madison Story, Kameron Reeves, and Keagan Maroney all had two points.
8B continued their perfect district record by winning 6-2. Leading the way for the Lady Pats was Madison Cannedy with three points. Savannah Moore and Carsyn Fernandez chipped in two and one point respectively. 8B also competed in the Rivercrest A team tournament this weekend. The girls lost to Chisum A in the first game but beat Chisum B in the second game by a score of 22-4. Leading scorer for the tournament was Mikali Moore with 10 points. Madison Cannedy, Savannah Moore, and Karsen McClain each scored six points for the tournament. The Prairiland coach thought the girls played great despite only having five players.
8A lost their game 26-15. The game was tied at halftime but a strong second half by Cooper was the difference in the game. Stephi Fontenot and Emalee Freelen each scored five points to lead the way offensively. Alyssa Harris and Jessica Rocha scored three and two points respectively.
The Lady Pats will continue district action this Thursday against Mt. Vernon and the A teams will be competing in the North Lamar Tournament this weekend. Keep up the hard work Lady Pats!
