Paris City Clerk Janice Ellis said Friday someone has finally announced their candidacy for a spot on the Paris Economic Development Corporation board.
It’s Stephen Grubbs, the chief executive officer of Paris Regional Medical Center.
The vacancy is for the year and a half remaining on the term of Toni Clem, who resigned on June 9, saying she is fed up with the direction taken by three members who came onto the board this year.
Applications are being accepted on into November, and the Paris City Council will make the appointment of a successor to Clem.
The four other members of the PEDC board are Bruce Carr, whose term expires in June 2014; Vicki Ballard, who is filling a term that also expires in June 2014; Rebecca Clifford, who is filling a term that expires in June 2015; and David Turner, whose term expires in 2016.
