Lamar County Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s help in solving the homicide of Tramaine Jarrod Kellum, 27, 863 SW 4th St., whose body was found last June 13 in southwest Lamar County under a bridge near an old church building.
His wife reported him missing three days earlier, on June 10, 2013. TxDOT officials located the body three days later at about 9:40 a.m. on June 13.
The last reported sighting of Kellum was about 10 p.m. on June 8 in the 500 block of West Campbell Street, said Curtis Garrett, spokesman for Crime Stoppers.
Kellum’s car, a 1995 silver Mercury Grand Marquis bearing Texas license plates BX8P511, also has not been reported seen since his disappearance. It was donned with 24-inch rims, tinted windows and a black front bumper.
Anyone with knowledge of whom Kellum may have been with that evening, or any other information about his whereabouts in that time frame, is asked to get in contact with Crime Stoppers by calling 903.785.TIPS (903.785.8477), by going online to www.785.tips.com, or by text message by adding “tip120″ in front of the message and sending it to “crimes” (274637).
If the information leads to the arrest or indictment of the person responsible, “you could be eligible for a cash reward, and you will remain anonymous,” Garrett said.
