HUGO, Okla. — An Oklahoma man wanted in a double homicide three weeks ago has turned himself in to Choctaw County authorities in Hugo.
Dawaylon Bernard Rainey, 33, of Hugo, also known as “Hog,” was dropped off by someone at about 4 p.m. on Sunday at the Choctaw County Jail, officials said.
Bond has been set at $5 million for Rainey, whom the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation named as the suspect in the shootings of Floyd Devin Clegg, 33, of Colbert, Okla., and Qualin Hayden, 19, of Sherman, Texas, on Saturday night, Aug. 3.
A witness told agents tht Rainey came into a Hugo apartment about 11 p.m. and fled on foot after shooting the two men.
