Paris police detectives located numerous baggies of a substance that tested positive for methamphetamine during a traffic stop Monday in Paris, according to police department spokesman Curtis Garrett.
Lisa Marie Zermeno, 34, of Paris and formerly of Blossom, and Roger Lynn Huneke, 43, of Detroit were taken into custody and taken Monday night to the Lamar County Jail. Garrett said they were stopped in the 1800 block of Bonham Street.
According to Lamar County Jail records, Zermeno was also jailed on drug charges on May 31, 2012, and March 11, 2013 – the first time on possession of a controlled substance (under 1 gram) and the second time for possession of methamphetamine (under 1 gram).
Garrett said Paris police responded to 92 calls for service on Monday, resulting in the arrests of 12 individuals.
