The Paris City Council is scheduled to approve part of its “Consent Agenda” tonight to close out an existing contract under which nine houses costing $673,342 were constructed for low-income individuals.
The contract with the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs will be replaced with a new contract, under which it is expected that 10 houses will be built.
Under the TDHCA HOME Reservation program, Interim City Manager Gene Anderson will be designated as the authorized signatory for the contracts.
The City of Paris is required to enter into contracts or other agreements when dealing with the TDHCA and the individuals participating in the program.
