Food Fast Corporation is proposing to demolish its existing service stations at two Paris locations — 2685 Lamar Ave. and 3720 Lamar Ave. — and follow by constructing at each location a 5,000-square-foot store with a large fuel island and canopy.
The corporation has purchased:
A hearing is scheduled on both items at Monday night’s meeting of the Paris City Council (items 8 & 9 on the agenda). The Planning and Zoning Commission voted Monday by votes of 4-0 to approve the plat.
The council won’t act until its Feb.25 on the preliminary and final plats and accompanying zoning changes because of some technical matters that still need to be resolved in the preparation of the necessary ordinances.
Because the hearings have already been advertised for Feb. 11, the council is expected to open the public hearing for the Food Fast expansion cases and then “pass them over to a date certain (Feb. 25). By doing so, re-notification to citizens within 200 feet and newspaper publication is not required.
