PARIS ISD BOARD OF TRUSTEES

Early voting will be in the board room of the Elaine Ballard administration building (1920 Clarksville St.) from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. from Monday through Friday of this week (April 30-May 4) and on Monday and Tuesday of next week (May 7-8).

Two candidates are on the ballot for the 3-year term now held by board president Dave Eisele, who is not seeking re-election. Only registered voters living in Place 6 may vote.

Jennifer “Jenny” Wilson, 42, of 3155 Clark Lane vs. Trase Christian, 29, of 2032 E. Polk St.

Last week, Christian was declared ineligible because his residence, which was in District 6 last year, is now in District 7 because of redistricting. The mistake was discovered too late to stop the election.

Votes cast in the election will be counted, and Wilson will win only if she gets the most votes, or if the race ends in a tie.

If Christian gets the most votes, the Paris ISD board would appoint someone to fill the position or call a special election for next November.

NORTH LAMAR ISD BOARD OF TRUSTEES

Early voting will be at the North Lamar ISD administration building (3201 Lewis Lane) from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. from Monday through Friday of this week (April 30-May 4) and on Monday and Tuesday of next week (May 7-8).
