PISD Celebrates Texas Public Schools Week
A Flag Raising Ceremony will be held Monday, March 3rd at 10am at the Love Civic Center to commemorate Texas Public Schools Week.
During the week-long celebration, public schools around the state are opening their doors and inviting their communities to take a first-hand look at the top quality education public schools in Texas bring to more than 4 million students.
“This week is exciting for the Paris Independent School District because it allows us to demonstrate the many wonderful achievements students, teachers and staff members accomplish each day,” said PISD Superintendent Paul Jones.
As part of the celebration Paris ISD Schools will be inviting parents, grandparents and community members to visit classrooms and participate in events.
Texas Public Schools Week was established in 1950 by the Masonic Lodges of Texas to recognize contributions made by the state’s public education.
