North Lamar Pantherette Varsity drubs Liberty-Eylau, 13-3

Liberty-Eylau didn’t stand a chance on Tuesday, as the North Lamar Pantherettes captured a blowout 13-3 win in six innings.

North Lamar Pantherette Varsity scored six runs in the third on a three-run home run by Bailey Jones, a sacrifice fly by Balee Brown, and a two-run triple by Delaney England.

Kayla Igleheart racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Pantherette. She singled in the second and third innings and doubled in the sixth inning.

Madison Morrison got the win for North Lamar. She allowed three runs over four innings. Madison struck out two, walked none and gave up seven hits.

The top of the second saw North Lamar Pantherette Varsity take an early lead, 2-0. Kayla started the rally for North Lamar with a single. Lauren Coursey singled, plating Sarah Penrose. North Lamar pushed more runs across when Igleheart scored because Balee was hit by a pitch.

It didn’t take long for Liberty-Eylau to respond as it scored two runs of its own in the second. Liberty-Eylau scored on an error and an error.

North Lamar added five more runs in the top of the sixth. Bailee Nickerson kicked things off with a double, scoring Delaney. That was followed up by Kayla’s double, bringing home Bailey and Erin Scholl.
