Panthers finish 1-2-1 in the Bonham Tournament

NL LOGOhe North Lamar Panthers played four games this past weekend in the Bonham tournament. The Panthers finished 1-2-1 for the weekend. Here’s the game breakdown:

North Lamar 3 – Krum 3

After falling behind 3-0 in the third inning, the North Lamar Panthers were able to rally for the tie. Braydon Steed finished 3-5 with an RBI. Brandon Dusenberry went 2-3 with an RBI and Kyle Dunmon finished 1-3 with an RBI. Ty Jones pitched five innings and gave up three runs on five hits. Ashton Chaffin pitched two innings and only gave up one hit in the tie.

North Lamar 12 – Lonestar Frisco 10

North Lamar scored three runs in the first inning and then added nine more in the fourth inning. They held on as Lonestar Frisco tried making the game close. Lonestar scored three runs in the third inning, four in the fourth and three more in the fifth. Dusenberry finished the game 2-3 with six RBI for the Panthers. Aaron Edwards, Hunter Reeves, Jacob Cowling and Trey Scudder each added an RBI for the Panthers in the win.

Bonham 9 – North Lamar 5

The Panthers gave up four runs in the second inning and five more in the third. The nine runs was too much for the Panthers to overcome as they fell to Bonham. Tyler Carter, Steed, Dunmon, Scudder and Dusenberry each had an RBI for the Panthers in the loss.

Sanger 14 – North Lamar 12

The Panthers erupted for 12 runs including seven in the first but it wasn’t enough to hold off Sanger. Reeves finished with three RBI for the Panthers. Kyle, Steed and Dunmon each added two RBI for North Lamar. Colton Wise also had an RBI for the Panthers.
