North Lamar Panthers hold off late rally to defeat Prairiland
The North Lamar Panthers traveled to Pattonville to take on the Prairiland Patriots in a non-district baseball game on Monday night. For much of the game, it was close as the starting pitchers pitched good for the first four innings. Brandon Dusenberry went into the fifth inning for the Panthers while Zac Pointer took his outing into the sixth.
After holding onto a 5-1 lead going into the bottom of the seventh, North Lamar allowed the game to get a little closer than they wanted. Prairiland was able to get three runs across and had a chance for some more. With one out in the inning, the Patriots had the bases loaded. However an infield-fly and a strikeout would end the game and secure the victory for the Panthers.
