North Lamar claims district title in 9th grade, JV, and Varsity Volleyball

The North Lamar Pantherettes claimed the district championship in 9th, JV, and Varsity in volleyball on Tuesday night.

The Varsity squad beat Atlanta  25-18, 25-13, 25-14.  Haley Hostetler had 10 kills, 2 solo blocks, and 5 block assists. Sam Flippen also had 10 kills along with 1 solo block. Ashleigh McFatridge had 6 kills, 4 solo blocks, and 2 block assists. Lauren Coursey had 10 digs. Hannah Igleheart went 14 of 14 from the service line and had 15 assists. Tanna Huie had 9 assists. Ashley White  went 18 of 19 from the service line and finished with 5 aces.

The varisty team will have a warm up match at North Lamar on Friday at 5:30 against 4A Royce City. NL receives a bye for the first round of the playoffs. The Pantherettes will play the winner of Gilmer and Canton/Mineola and will begin the playoffs either on November 1st or November 3rd.
