North Lamar Varsity vollyeball team captures playoff birth with its win over Pittsburg on Friday night.

The North Lamar Varsity volleyball team captured a position in playoffs with their win Friday over Pittsburg: 20-25, 25-6, 25-17, 25-18.  Sam Flippen had 17 kills and went 8 for 9 from service line. Haley Hostetler had 14 kills, 3 solo blocks, 5 block assists and went 12 for 12 from service line.  Ashley McFatridge had 7 kills, 1 solo block, and 3 block assists.  Tarra Halstead and Ashley Miller had 7 kills and 6 kills respectively.  Hannah Igleheart  went 16 for 16 on serves and had 22 assists.  Tanna Huie had 1 kill and 20 assists. Lauren Coursey had 10 digs.

North Lamar hosts Paris High, whom they swept in 3 games earlier in the season, on Tuesday night at Pantherette gym.  North Lamar and Paris are currently tied for first with Pleasant Grove 1 game out .

North Lamar has Liberty-Eylau and Atlanta left.

Paris has Pittsburg and Pleasant Grove left.
