Myrtle Ethelene Hicks 74, of Paris, died at 1:40 AM, Friday, August 8, 2014 at Paris Regional Medical Center.  A memorial service is set for 2:00 PM, Tuesday, August 12, 2014 in the chapel of Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home with Rev. Mickey Kelley officiating.  Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.

She was born July 26, 1940 in Crossville, Tennessee to Herbert and Eva Jane Davis Turner.   After graduating from high school she joined the Women’s Army Corps where she met her future husband, William Preston Hicks whom she married in 1960.  She was a member of the Baptist faith and was a homemaker.

Survivors are her husband, William Hicks; five children, William Hicks, Jr., Robert W. Hicks and wife, Corrina, Herbert Carlton Hicks and wife, Marni, Tawana Hicks, and Victoria Hicks; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; four siblings, Mildred Turner, Chester Turner, Oliver Turner, and Mary Pollard.  She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Ann Marie Turner.

Raymond Louis Hunt, 60 of Reno, passed away Thursday, August 07, 2014.  Services will be held at a later date.

He was born on August 9, 1953 in Columbus, Georgia to Raymond and Alma Lee Fields Hunt. He served in the United States Air Force.

He is survived by his daughter, Randi Lee Hunt; mother, Alma Lee Hutchinson; brothers, Victor Allen Hutchinson, Jr. and wife Deanna; sisters Vickie Lee Chavez and husband Felipe, Hyacinth Ann Hogan, Dorthea White and husband Roy.
