Maudie McKee0001Maudie Mae McKee, 82, a resident of Paris for 54 years, passed away Friday, June 20, 2014, at Paris Regional Medical Center following a brief illness.

Honoring her wishes, there will be a memorial service at First Christian Church on Monday, June 23rd at 5:30 p.m.  with The Reverend John Burton & The Reverend Charlotte Coyle officiating. The family will receive visitors after the service in White Fellowship Hall. Refreshments will be served.

Cremation & services are under the care and direction of Bright-Holland Funeral Home.

She was born in Delta County, TX, the only child of Shannon & Eunice Hefley. She was a member of First Christian Church since she moved with her family to Paris in 1960.

She attended East Texas College for two years where she met her soul mate and husband, Keith McKee. They married on Sept. 6, 1951, and spent over 62 loving years together before his death on May 18, 2014.

Maudie was a self-taught artist. She enjoyed creating various oil paintings, which can be seen in homes and businesses around Paris. She also enjoyed playing Bridge weekly with friends and had a well-known love for chocolate. She was most happy when spending time with her family. She was known to brag, “I have the best sons a mother can have”.

Proceeding in death were her parents, loving husband, Keith, and beloved grandson, Shannon.

She leaves to cherish precious memories her sons, Greg & wife Barbara of Comanche, Kent & wife Gina of Paris and Brent & wife Tricia of Paris, granddaughters, Katrinia & husband James Clark & their son Dalton of Greenville, Nicole & husband Robby Nichols and their son Kasin of Rogersville, TN and Dakota McKee of North Carolina, and grandsons, Mitchel Anderson and Brion McKee of Paris.

wallace-page001HOLLY MARIE WALLACE PAGE 58, of Paris, died at 1:51 PM, Thursday, June 19, 2014 at Medical Center of Plano.  A memorial service is set for 2:00 PM, Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at the Tudor Street Gospel Mission.  Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home has charge of cremation arrangements.

Holly was born December 27, 1955 in Oxnard, California to Robert Dean and Ora Mae Schmidt Wallace.  She graduated from Adolf Camarillo High School in Camarillo, California and Paris Junior College where she was the first female to graduate in the field of electronics.  She also attended Texas A&M University – Commerce.  She married James Robert Page on Valentine’s Day of 2006.  Holly was retired from the City of Paris Water Department as a meter reader and water treatment specialist.  She served in the United States Navy and received her training in electronics and radio communications.  She was a member of Paris Blues Society and Shagbark Blues Society.

She is survived by her husband, James Page of Paris; two children, Anita Marie White and husband, Billy of Blossom and Robert Clay Johnson of Paris; three grandchildren, Jamie Marie Johnson, Richard Daylin Webb, and Holly Marie Webb of Blossom; one brother, Leonard Jarrod of Riverside, California; and two sisters, Joann Ashby of Layfette, Indiana and Merry Post of Paris.  She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Barbara Benoit.

Lois Estelle Walker Huggins age 24Lois Estelle Huggins, 97, of Roxton, passed away Friday, June 20, 2014, at Paris Regional Medical Center.

Bright-Holland Funeral Home has scheduled services for 2:00 pm Tuesday, June 24th, at the First United Methodist Church in Roxton with Rev. Ed Dodd officiating. Burial will follow in Restland Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 – 7 pm Monday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Huggins, the daughter of A. Gordon “Bud” & Celia Etta Bybee Walker, was born March 21, 1917, in Lamar County.

Since childhood she has been a member of the First United Methodist Church in Roxton. She attended school in the Oklahoma Community near Roxton.

In June of 1946, she married Dennis Clifton Huggins, building thirty-five years of family and memories before his death in October of 1981.

Survivors include one son, Denny Huggins & wife Debbie of Roxton, one daughter, Rhonda Vann of Dallas, two grandsons, Denny L. Huggins of Lindsay, TX and Jordan Vann of Los Angeles, CA, one great granddaughter, Kalyn Huggins along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Casket bearers will be: Jordan Vann, Paul Slayden, Gary Slayden, Jimmy Slayden, Ronny Walker & Ricky Williams. Denny L. Huggins will serve as an honorary bearer.

Henry Wesley Milam, 67, of Paris passed away Friday, June 20, 2014 in Paris Regional Medical Center.

He was born on October 5, 1946 in Deport, Texas a son of Hurston and Annie Farris Milam. He was a member of Lifeline Worship Center.

Survivors include his wife Cathy Milam whom he married on July 5, 1983 in Texarkana, Ark.; children James Milam, William Howard Jr., and Angel White; grandchildren River Milam, Ashlie Miller, Dalton Howard, Steven Howard, Cameron Howard, Savannah Peterson, Tyrah Peterson, Octavious White, Brooke Allison, Justin Allison; brothers Johnny Milam, Donnie Mack Milam, Larry Milam and Delbert Milam; sister Martha Harris.
