Opal Seiferman went to be with her Jesus on May 19, 2014. The passion of her life was to bring others to Christ, to pray for them to help them through the trials and tribulations of this life. She was such a friend that could be called on anytime of the day or night ;people knew she was a prayer warrior and turned to her from all over the country for prayer.
In the final stages of her life she lived with her daughter, Linda Pitcock, son-in-law Graham Pitcock, grand-daughter Alyssa Pitcock and Ringo Pitcock (the grand-dog) where she watched over the family, the birds she fed and a large number of lovely rose bushes. She leaves as a key part of her legacy her children, grandchildren, great grandkids and many friends.
Her children are Galen Rezai, Gary Seiferman & wife Rhonda and Linda Pitcock & husband Graham. Her grandchildren are Joey Daniels, Brandon Daniels, Laura Konopnicki, Alyssa Pitcock, and Aubree Seiferman. She has 7 great grandchildren and 1 great great grand child. Opal has two surviving sisters, Ruby Giddens and Dorothy Day. Her surviving brother is John Henry Graves. She was preceded in death by one sister Helen Burrow.
Services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 23rd, at Bright-Holland Funeral Home with Rev. Jason Duff officiating. Burial will follow in East Post Oak Cemetery with Greg Kee officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.

Billie Gunn Jackson Penn, 77, passed away Monday afternoon, May 12, 2014 at her home. Billie was born May 17, 1936 in Milton, Texas to the late Mary and Melvin Jackson. Billie graduated from Deport High School and later Paris Junior College. She graduated from East Texas State University in 1972 with a degree in business. She worked for the Social Security Administration for many years, from which she retired in 2002. Billie married the love of her life, Horace Penn, on March 12, 1976. They spent the next 38 years together enjoying each other’s company and loving and living life.
Billie loved and enjoyed everything that life had to offer. She loved gardening and nature, music and dancing, travelling, hiking, arrowhead and fossil hunting, antiquing, seeking new adventures and admiring the beauty of life. She adored her many animal companions and loved and cherished her family and friends more than anything in this world. She was an accomplished painter and loved to read, write and research her genealogy and family ancestry. Billie was a beautiful, uplifting, positive soul and touched the lives and hearts of the many people she met along her life journey.
Billie is survived by her beloved husband, Horace Penn, of Paris, Texas; brother, Gary Jackson and wife, Nancy, of McKinney, Texas; son, Chuck Lay and wife, Jeanne, of Sulphur Springs, Texas; daughter, Diane Warren of Tyler, Texas; son, Jimmy Lay of Paris, Texas; granddaughter, Kate Keenan and husband, Joshua, of Chapel Hill, Texas; granddaughter, Andrea Warren, of Longview, Texas; grandson, Austin Warren of Austin, Texas; granddaughter, Mollye Lay of Sulphur Springs, Texas; grandson, Joshua Lay of Austin, Texas; grandson, Jesse Lay of Austin, Texas; great grandchildren, Gillian and Philip Lowe of Chapel Hill, Texas; great grandchildren; Taylor and Mason Watson of Longview, Texas; and her newest great granddaughter, whom she was so happy to meet a few days before her passing, Willow Keenan.
Her Life Celebration Service will be held on May 31, 2014 at 4:00 o’clock p.m. at the Penn residence. The family requests that any donations please be made to the Friendship Cemetery Association, P. O. Box 42, Bogata, Texas 75417-0042, which is one of the oldest cemeteries in Texas and the final resting place of many of her ancestors.
