Jack Mose Ingram, 96, of Paris, passed away peacefully on March 29, 2014 at Stillhouse Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center. A graveside service is set for 2:00 PM, Thursday, April 3, 2014 at Providence Cemetery with Rev. Eric Moore officiating. No formal visitation hour will be observed. Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Ingram was born January 21, 1918 in Biardstown to William Claude and Mertle May Ingram. He married Lillie Irene Nutt on March 16, 1944 in Biardstown. He lived in Paris and transported soldiers during WWII, owned and operated service stations, and was an independent truck owner/operator until his retirement.
He was loved dearly by his surviving family – two sons, Gary Ingram and wife Linda of Paris, and Kenny Ingram and wife Rita of Rockwall; four grandchildren, Bobby Ingram, Kristina Highley, Kelly Decker, and Keela Foster; three great-grandchildren, Kyle Decker, Zeya and Valyn Highley. Mr. Ingram was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and seven siblings, Mrs. Harold (Esther) Slusher of Midland, Mrs. Raymond (Joan) Cothran of Odessa, W.C. Ingram, Jr., Mrs. Mary Dees, Phillip Ingram, Paul (Bill) Ingram, and Ivey Joe (I.J.) Ingram, all of Paris.
