mouse001Vicki Jan Pomroy Mouse, 58, left her pain behind to be in the comforting arms of our Lord Jesus. She was 58 years of age.

She leaves behind to miss her, her husband, Layne Mouse, mother, Dottie Pomroy (Dr. Dottie), brothers, Keith Russ and Rance Pomroy and so many family and friends. Last but by no means least, her animals. She had a special gift and all animals loved her.

She was cremated and returned to the grounds she loved.  Arrangements were under care of the Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home.

Gene ToddGene Todd, 82, of Paris, passed away Monday, March 24, 2014, at his home. Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 26th, at Bright-Holland Funeral Home with Frankie Norwood officiating. Burial, with military honors, will follow in Oakwood Cemetery at Honey Grove. The family will receive friends from 6 – 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mr. Todd, the son of Grady & Zula Baty Todd, was born April 26, 1931, in Fannin County.

He drove an ammunition supply truck and was an officer’s driver while serving in the U. S. Army. He did custom combining while working on a plantation in Mississippi, was on the Sherriff’s Posse in Lamar County, and was a member of the Eagles Lodge. He owned and operated Gene Todd’s Used Cars for 36 years, and he and his wife owned and operated Day Star Home Health. Gene was a delivery driver for Medicine Chest for nineteen years before his retirement.

On Jan. 3, 1975, he married Lara Sue Davidson, building thirty-six years of family and memories before her death on Dec. 19, 2011. He was also preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Marion Rhodes.

Survivors include his children; Randy Todd, Gerry Todd, Jaretta Day, Julie Nation & husband Mark, Clinton Herron & wife Diana, Kimberly Tatar & husband Jaret and Hayley McFadden, grandchildren; Jennifer Todd, Stephanie Todd, Tori Todd, Bobby Todd, Terra McCormick, Matthew Weathers, Quentin Weathers, Ashley Weathers, Colin Blackshear, Jordan Blackshear, Heather Herron, Leighandra Rater, Nataley Srader, Karley Yoakum and Kiley McFadden, thirty-two great grandchildren, two sisters, Billie Deloach and Joan Stribling, one brother, Grady “Sonny” Todd, Jr., along with numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
